About

Mandy Dennis is a self-taught artist whose work is extremely varied, including pet portraiture, wildlife, seascapes and still life. Her medium is predominantly soft pastels or watercolours.
Born in a British Military Hospital in Germany where her father was serving as a soldier, she has also lived in Hong Kong and Brunei - experiences which enriched her passion for arts and culture.
As a child, Mandy could be found at family gatherings scribbling a portrait of the 'lucky' person opposite. Her favourite lessons at school were always art, drama & music.

FAQ
Yes — pet portraits are my most popular commission, but I also take on wildlife, seascapes and landscapes. Have a look at the Commissions page for sizes and pricing, then get in touch and we'll talk it through.
Almost every commission starts from your photographs. The clearer and higher-resolution the photo, the better — natural light and eye-level shots usually work best. Send me a few and I'll let you know which ones will work well.
Yes. A hand-drawn portrait is a lovely way to remember a much-loved pet, and these are some of the most meaningful pieces I take on. Just get in touch and we'll talk gently through what you'd like.
Soft pastel is my main medium for pet portraits, alongside watercolour for landscapes and seascapes. Every piece is drawn entirely by hand — never digitally generated or AI-made.
Pet portraits start from £80, with the final price depending on the size and the number of subjects. The Commissions page has the full pricing, or get in touch and I'll give you a quote.
Usually a few weeks from the point we've agreed the details and I have your photos, though it can vary depending on my current commission list. I'll always give you a realistic timescale before we begin.
Yes — I post finished work within the UK, carefully packaged to keep it safe. If you're local, collection can sometimes be arranged too. Just ask when we discuss your commission.
I do — I run occasional soft pastel workshops and take part in local exhibitions. Keep an eye on the Events page for what's coming up next.
